Gibson Les Paul BFG Electric Guitar

LUXURY CAR

Stripped down and ready for action!

A decidedly nontraditional Les Paul for rockers who want an LP with attitude and don't care about good looks. It has the sound and playability you'd expect from an LP, while its raw look stands Les Paul styling on its head: unsanded top, no binding, no pickup rings, no truss rod cover, no toggle switch rings, no fretboard position indicators (dots on the side only), with wooden knobs that have no numbers. This rough and tough guitar has sonics to match: steamy hot tones from the novel pickup combination of a single coil P-90 in the neck and a BurstBucker 3 in the bridge - like having an LP Special and a Standard in one guitar. Mini toggle pickup selection switch located near two volume and one master tone controls. Kill switch located where rhythm/lead switch used to be. "Distressed" stop bar, Tune-o-matic bridge, and Grovers and "shopworn" case complete the raw look of this very different looking Les Paul.

Gibson Les Paul BFG Electric Guitar Features:
Unsanded carved maple top
Mahogany back
1950s rounded mahogany neck
Rosewood fingerboard
Scale length: 24-3/4"

Hard rock, classic, pop, swing, billy styles and more are all fair game with this beauty. The '50s neck shape is easy on your hand whether you're playing chords or lead, and the combination of Grover tuners and the fixed bridge keep tuning time to a minimum.

This electric guitar is inspired by Grohl s much loved Trini Lopez signature model. The model, created by the artisans at the Gibson Custom Shop with the input of Grohl himself, will provide rock fans a chance to channel the Foo Fighters renowned lead singer.

Grohl has always been a long-time fan of the Trini Lopez signature model guitar that Gibson built from 1964-1971. The Trini Lopez model was a striking take on Gibson s classic ES-335 semi-hollow body guitar which is a hybrid between a solidbody and a hollowbody. Grohl has a particular love for the Trini Lopez in a rare Pelham Blue color that was used by the Gibson Custom Shop in producing this limited model.

Dave Grohl's Inspired By DG-335 guitar has the classic Firebird-style headstock with six-on-a-side tuners set into an ES-335 style semi-hollow body. The body of the guitar has stylish diamond f-holes and a double cutaway design. The inlays on the rosewood fretboard are acrylic split diamond which is a unique feature that remains from the original Trini Lopez model. Grohl s taste is even expressed through the pickups which are Burstbucker 1 in the neck and Burstbucker 2 in the bridge. These pickups are within the original Patent Applied For humbucking spec, known for their ability to create clean and articulate distortion and responsible for helping to deliver the amazing tones that Grohl has become famous for while fronting the ever popular Foo Fighters.

Gibson Custom Shop ES-339 with '59 Rounded Profile Neck Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

LUXURY CAR

Classic semi-hollowbody sound from a solidbody-sized guitar.

The ES-339 is the next generation from the Custom Shop of Gibson's iconic ES electric guitars. It goes where no guitar has gone before with a bold, new semi-hollow tone that is rich with expressive, even stinging, overtones. The ES-339 has some exciting enhancements including Memphis Tone electronics, outer rim output jack, and reduced dimensions and weight.

Memphis Tone electronics Memphis Tone circuitry utilizes 500K audio taper pots that operate with an interactive load that preserves high end as you turn down the volume. The loading effect preserves the full-bodied tone with rich midrange and singing sustain from the '57 Classic humbuckers while adding a very sweet bite. Another difference is the volume is very smooth, rolling off in even increments along with the numbers on the knobs. Since they operate more like how we hear (logarithmically), the controls work the way the player thinks they should. So when the guitarist turns down the volume the highs are still there!

Outer rim output jack Here's one ES players have been wanting: The output jack is mounted on the outer rim. No more cable crossing the body, spoiling the guitar's clean looks and and getting in your way.

Reduced dimensions and weight The ES-339 builds on the success of the semi-hollowbody guitars first introduced by Gibson in 1958 with the ES-335. Lighter and more compact than a traditional semi-hollow guitar, the ES-339 retains the distinct semi-hollowbody electric tone that powered so many hit records and landmark performances.

Two '57 Classic Humbuckers with 3-way pickup selection plus individual volume and tone controls provide the incredibly versatile sounds that make the semi-hollow electric famous for its use in jazz, rock, blues, country, and nearly every other style you can think of. Quality Kluson tuners keep retuning time to a minimum, and nickel hardware enhances the great looks.

This version of the ES-339 comes with the rounded '59 neck profile for guitarists who prefer a chunkier neck, but still enjoy fast, smooth playing action. The new slender 30/60 neck is available on the ES-339 30/60 Neck (product #515256).

To show off its vintage vibe, the ES-339 is available in a choice of three finishes: Antique Cherry, Antique Vintage Sunburst, and Light Caramel Burst. The lacquer finish is applied with a light, even touch, allowing the guitar's wood to resonate naturally while providing a protective, mirror-like shine. The Antique Cherry and Antique Vintage Sunburst both come with aged bindings to further enhance the proud ES tradition.

The ES-339 comes with a Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Gibson Custom Shop 1954 Les Paul Custom with Bigsby VOS Electric Guitar (Ebony)

LUXURY CAR

Now you can have a vintage Black Beauty with a Bigsby straight from the Gibson Custom Shop.

Les Paul wanted two colors used on the Gibson guitar that would forever bear his name: gold (for its connection to all things fine) and black (because a player's hands would be easily visible against a dark background). Les got the gold in 1952, but had to wait for the black. The Les Paul Custom was introduced in 1954 and featured elegant appointments like gold hardware, multiple binding, and an ebony fretboard. The '54 Custom was also the first solidbody Gibson guitar to use the ABR-1 bridge, the familiar piece of hardware we've all come to know as the tune-o-matic. Matched up with a vintage-style Bigsby vibrato, it's an unbeatable combination.

Underneath it's luxurious inky finish, this historic recreation of the original 1954 Custom features a carved mahogany top, a solid mahogany back, one-piece mahogany neck with long neck tenon, an early '50s rounded neck profile, 24-3/4" scale length, and a 1-11/16" nut width. It also has multi-ply white/black binding on the body and headstock, with white single-ply binding on the fingerboard. Its finer appointments include gold hardware, an ebony fingerboard, large pearl block inlays, pearl headstock inlay, and kidney bean tuners. The original circuitry is preserved with the use of CTS pots and bumble bee capacitors in the signal path and the unique pickup array of a vintage P-90 pickup at the bridge and a rare Alnico V pickup at the neck.

The Alnico V pickup was designed in 1952 by Seth Lover and Walt Fuller for Gibson to succeed the P-90 pickup on several of Gibson's distinguished archtop jazz hollowbodies, most famously the L5 CES, ES-5, and Byrdland guitars. Similar to the P-90 in appearance, the Alnico V is easily recognized by its distinctive rectangular pole pieces. It gets its name from the stronger Alnico V magnets, while each coil has 10,000 turns of 42-gauge wire to achieve its clear, round, ringing sound. It made its debut on a solidbody Gibson in the Fretless Wonder of 1954; the Les Paul Custom, or Black Beauty.

Vintage Original Spec series instruments receive a special nitro-cellulose finish treatment yielding the patina of a gently-aged vintage guitar while handcrafting enhances comfort and playability. Each VOS model has a solid mahogany back; historically accurate long-neck tenon for strength and sustain; and period-correct neck profile, hardware, and electronics.
